Silicon Valley Roots & Shoots: Tips for Hi-tech Tourists

In the February issue of “Emirates” the in-flight magazine of the International Airline of United Arab Emirates (Dubai), local journalist Gary Singh offers recommendations to tourists on visiting historical Silicon Valley technology-related sites.

His article, "Palo Alto: A leisurely stroll around Silicon Valley", covers the usual suspects; Apple Company Store, Computer History Museum, Googleplex, HP Garage, Intel Museum, and the Stanford Campus. Some lesser known and more intensely geek-centered spots include the Hacker Dodo in Mountain View and Sunnyvale’s Weird Stuff Warehouse.

Read Gary’s article here.

So next time you come across Middle-eastern visitors peering suspiciously into Silicon Valley buildings be sure to ask if they need any help in locating our hi-tech heritage before summoning the Department of Homeland Security.
