Hartford, CT – Saturday April 10, 2010 on what started out as a beautiful spring afternoon; ended with a terrible car accident involving one of Hartford’s ‘A’ list poets, Tracy Caldwell also known as Mind Evolution. She was with her three children when a car pulled out into on-coming traffic and hit their car causing a head on collision. Thankfully there were no fatalities everyone made it out safely with only cuts and bruises.
Mind Evolution vividly explains how she had to rescue her three children from the totaled vehicle, “I had to pull them out and get them away from the car because I didn’t know if it would blow up.” Mind Evolution’s children are an inspiration in her life; as a single mother she works hard to keep them focused and encouraged. She delivers in one of her poems, “Hearing the words Mommy I love you, makes me wanna keep this job.”
With her newly purchased car totaled it added insult to injury when Mind Evolution discovered the other driver had no insurance. She posted this on her Facebook page the day of he accident, “Please, please, please keep insurance on your car if your gonna drive reckless a lady just totaled my new car and she has no insurance...so now I’m buying a bus pass”
Just three years ago she was involved in a fatal accident ending with the driver in the other car dying, “I feel like I am a magnet to car accidents…” she reminisces softly. “It’s like I am in one every three years – I know there must be a purpose for my life.”
Anyone who has been blessed to witness her lyrical genius will surly agree there is a definitely a purpose for her life. To just call Mind Evolution a poet is an understatement; she is also an inspiring writer, a powerful performer, lyrical musician and a motivational speaker. When she takes the stage she commands the attention of the crowd without even using the Mic. Her voice fills every corner of the room standing out over any opposing sound while her words tantalize your psyche allowing you to view deep into her thoughts…her heart…her soul. Everyone stops to hear when Mind Evolution is in your ear.
By shutting down shows as an opening act she has created a major buzz for herself. Her loyal fans memorize her lyrics as inspirational quotes because of how honest they are – anyone can relate. She has proven that she has earned the name Mind Evolution because she leaves something for your mind to think about when she takes the stage. She was definitely created with a purpose, to touch, teach, inspire and reach people all over the world with her words.
