Fans of the "Silent Hill" video game franchise can rejoice as a brand new game is coming, and it's got a lot of star power behind it. Kotaku reported on Aug. 12, 2014, that "Metal Gear Solid" creator Hideo Kojima has teamed together with director Guillermo del Toro to create the next "Silent Hill" game, and it is going to star Norman Reedus of "The Walking Dead."
UPDATE: Added first teaser trailer video for "Silent Hills."
During Sony's Gamescom conference, a new horror demo named "P.T." was announced to be on the way. Immediately, people headed to the Playstation Store to download it. The demo ended up being a really long teaser for a giant project from Kojima and Del Toro.
As the demo continues and gamers got to the one hour and 16 minute mark of the video, a man is shown on a darkened street. All of a sudden, the names of Kojima and Del Toro appear on the screen before the man turns to the camera and it shows to be Norman Reedus.
That's when the screen turns white and the "Silent Hill" logo appears.
PS4Daily reported that Reedus will not only be lending his voice to the game, but he's going to be in it with his likeness as well.
Many were thinking that a new horror franchise was coming, but no-one could have expected what it truly was going to be. The secret of the new "Silent Hill" game was well kept, and even more so was the involvement of Reedus.
Not to mention Kojima and Del Toro being behind it.
Believe it or not, the fake game "P.T." even had a developer named 7780s Studio, but that appears to be fake as well. This was just a huge mirage set up by Kojima and excellently done as well.
