Misty Cook, the ex-girlfriend of the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin shooting suspect Wade Michael Page, has been arrested on a weapons charge.
According to CNN, Cook is facing a felony charge for illegal possession of a firearm.
South Milwaukee Police Lt. Jason Walker told CNN that the arrest was part of a joint investigation between the FBI and the South Milwaukee Police Department.
Few details about Cook’s arrest, and whether or not she had any connection to Sunday's shootings that left 6 victims dead are being released at this time.
Police still have not been able to identify a motive for Page’s shooting rampage. It’s hoped at the very least that his ex-girlfriend might be able to shed some light on the subject.
"We may end up with just a lot of facts on what he is involved with, who he may be associated with, but we may never know that motive, because he died, and that motive died with him," Oak Creek Police Chief John Edwards
The victims of Sunday's shootings have been identified as 5 men and 1 woman:
- Sita Singh, 41;
- Ranjit Singh, 49;
- temple president Satwant Singh Kaleka, 65;
- Prakash Singh, 39;
- Suveg Singh, 84; and,
- 41-year-old female Paramjit Kaur.
A wake and visitation are scheduled for Friday morning.
