Thursday, it was discovered that the black Lanvin dress that actress Sigourney Weaver wore a dress backwards last weekend; Weaver appeared on several worst dress lists after the awards because of how the dress fit her, and as it turns out she wasn’t wearing it correctly. Weaver appeared at the 2013 SAG Awards wearing the black dress.
The dress was made by Lanvin and the front has a beautiful low-cut v-neck shape to it, but Weaver wore that in the back instead. Weaver had the high, frilly back of the dress under the front of her neck.
The Red Carpet Fashion Awards were the first to notice the mistake, according to the Huffington Post.
Other stars have worn their dresses backwards before, such as Amanda Seyfried and Angelina Jolie but it appeared as though they planned to do that because they wore the low back in the front to show off cleavage. Sigourney Weaver didn’t seem to be aware of her mistake. See the photo of Weaver in the dress above.
