'Signed, Sealed and Delivered' series to premiere on Hallmark Channel

Hallmark Channel's upcoming series "Signed, Sealed and Delivered" is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, April 20, 2014, according to a Feb. 19 media announcement emailed by Hallmark. The series stars Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe and Geoff Gustafson will be joined by special guest stars Valerie Harper and Dick Van Dyle.

"Signed, Sealed and Delivered" is executive produced by Martha Williamson, best known for the inspirational hit series "Touched by an Angel."

The series revolves around the employees of a post office dead letter office who become detectives to track down the intended recipients of undeliverable mail. The series combines romance, comedy and drama as the postal detectives work to right wrongs, solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures with letters that may arrive late, but somehow just on time.

The team of postal detectives includes charming Oliver O’Toole (Mabius), a genius postal detective and the group’s leader; new team member, Shane McInerney (Booth), a technophile who brings 21st century sensibility to the group; free-spirited, “girl next door” Rita Haywith (Lowe) who has a photographic memory; and lovable Norman Dorman (Gustafson), a master in conventional research methods.

The pilot movie, "Signed, Sealed and Delivered" premiered on Hallmark Channel in Sept., 2013 and will air on Sun., Feb. 22, 2014. The series will start on April 20 for a ten episode run for the first season. The series is the third launched by Hallmark Channel is the past year, joining "Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove" and "When Calls the Heart" on the roster.

Two special guest stars, Golden Globe and four-time Emmy winning actress Valerie Harper (“Mary Tyler Moore,” “Rhoda,” "Fixing Pete") and five-time Emmy winner and two-time Golden Globe nominee Dick Van Dyke (“The Dick Van Dyke Show,” “Diagnosis Murder”) will appear during the first season. The guest stars protray Supervisors in a revolving role that will feature television icons.

The new series stars Eric Mabius (“Ugly Betty,” "How to Fall in Love"), Kristin Booth (“The Kennedys”), Crystal Lowe (“Smallville”) and Geoff Gustafson (“Primeval: New World”).

“Signed, Sealed, Delivered” is a Muse Entertainment production in association with MoonWater Productions. Executive Producers are Martha Williamson (“Touched by an Angel”), Joel S. Rice (“Cyberbully”), Michael Prupas (“The Kennedys”) and Scott Smith (“Call Me Fitz”). Harvey Kahn (“The Haunting Hour”) is the producer.
