Signal the Clans is one of the newest "Magic: The Gathering" cards from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert expansion set "Gatecrash."
Signal the Clans - RG
Instant (Rare)
Search your library for three creature cards and reveal them. If you searched for three cards with different names, choose one at random at put it into your hand. Shuffle the rest into your library.
Revealed today in an article by 鍛冶 友浩 on MTG-JP.com, Signal the Clans is a unique Gruul creature tutor. While Signal the Clans isn't as precise compared to Worldly Tutor, the creature will end up in your hand instead of on the top of your library. The catch is that you may not end up with the exact creature you want.
Several great choices for Gruul decks include: Huntmaster of the Fells, Thragtusk, Zealous Conscripts, and Thundermaw Hellkite.
After a little Desperate Research you'll come to the conclusion that Signal the Clans is a much better Gamble when searching for creatures. That's because you'll end up with at least one good creature, especially if you have no other cards in your hand.
You'll want to be playing with lots of creatures in order to make Signal the Clans effective, and is an interesting card in Commander. By playing with multiple silver bullet creatures that provide a similar affect, you'll be able to mitigate Signal the Clans' drawback.
How will you use Signal the Clans?
