Participating in community supported agriculture is a great way to support the local economy, reduce the distance your food travels as well as know exactly where your food comes from. With the increased number of contaminated food reports, there is nothing more comforting than being able to call your farm directly to ask questions.

The first batch of CSA deliveries will be coming to Colorado consumers in the relatively near future, so be sure to sign up now so you don’t miss out. Most programs last the length of the Colorado growing season and some even go into the winter months.

Farms all across Colorado participate in CSA programs. However, not all farms are organic. Read the terms carefully and when in doubt give the farm a call. Pick-up and delivery locations vary by farm as well, so take some time to research what will work best for you and your family.

Choose from vegetables, fruit, meat, cheese and eggs. But sign up before it’s too late. You don’t want to miss out on the tasty CSA food shares Colorado local farmers offer!
