With just two days before the glitz and glam takes over this city during the 40th annual Seattle International Film Festival we get a peak at some of the big time stars that will be coming to SIFF this year for what is the largest film festival in North America.

SIFF will host two Oscar nominated actors in the Emerald City this week. Acclaimed actress Laura Dern (Blue Velvet, Jurassic Park, Wild at Heart, Enlightened) rolls into town on May 16 for a screening of her latest film The Fault in Our Stars and on May 17 she'll receive the Outstanding Achievement in Acting Award. A couple of days later on Monday, May 19, Chiwetel Ejiofor (Amistad, Kinky Boots, 12 Years a Slave) will also receive the Outstanding Achievement in Acting Award and participate in a moderated Q&A discussion following the screening of his film Half of a Yellow Sun. And as a bonus, movie goers will have a chance to catch Ejiofor's much talked portrayal of a villian in Joss Whedon's 2005 sci-fi adventure Serenity on Sunday, May 18.

SIFF will serve up 450 features and short films from over 70 countries over 25 days. Want to get involved in the movie madness? Visit for tickets.
