SIFF Awards Golden Space Needle to Richard Linklater's Boyhood

The 40th annual Seattle International Film Festival came to a close yesterday with the presentation of The Golden Space Needle Awards. Richard Linklater’s “Boyhood,” won big garnering the audience choice Golden Space Needle for best film, best director and best actress. The film will have an encore presentation at 2:00 p.m. on June 15 during SIFF's Best of the Fest and open in Seattle for a regular run later next month. Here’s a complete list of the awards:

Audience Choice Golden Space Needle Awards:

Best Film: “Boyhood”

Runners-up (first to fourth): “Life Feels Good,” “How to Train Your Dragon 2,” “The Fault in Our Stars,” “Big in Japan”

Best Documentary: “Keep On Keepin’ On

Runners-up: “Alive Inside: A Story of Music & Memory,” “I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story,” “Strictly Sacred: The Story of Girl Trouble,” “The Case Against 8″
