Sierra Nevada Brewery in Mills River NC announced today that they would be opening a small tasting room for visitors to try some of their local brew, in July. They also announced plans for a taproom, music hall and larger restaurant to be built. They estimate the Pub could be ready by November of this year.
Along with those additions, visitors will be able to enjoy a big outdoor stage area that could very well handle a large Octoberfest celebration by October of next year. The tasting room will be inside the brewery.
Construction on the main brewery could be completed within the next seven months. Sierra Nevada Brewery, which produces such favorites as Torpedo IPA and Pale Ale, is on track to produce 350,000 barrels per year in their Mills River facility.
Visitors to the Asheville area will find a number of local breweries and find the opportunity to try out a few of the local favorites. Visitors in the Fall of 2015 could find a quiet a few area breweries holding Octoberfest celebrations as well as the seeing the incredibly beautiful display of fall foliage in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina.
