On Saturday more than the usual spring throng of cyclists, runners, walkers, and anglers were seen on the Olentangy Trail and in the forest surrounding OSU's Olentangy River Wetland Research Park. 150 central Ohio Sierra Club volunteers worked through the morning on a service project in preparation for Earth Day.

The volunteers removed invasive honeysuckle and garlic mustard, picked up trash, and planted several species of native trees.

The project was done in partnership with Green Columbus, Student Life at The Ohio State University, Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed, and other groups.
