Sierra-at-Tahoe, Mt. Rose offering $49 lift tickets on Super Bowl Sunday (Photos)

Who says Super Bowl Sunday is a lousy day to go skiing or snowboarding?

Two Lake Tahoe ski resorts are offering discounted $49 lift tickets this Sunday. Both Sierra-at-Tahoe and Mt. Rose ski resorts will be offering the discounted tickets to entice people to ski and snowboard.

And since the game between the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens doesn’t start until around 3:30 p.m., there is plenty of time to ski and ride prior to kickoff.

Sierra-at-Tahoe: The closest major ski resort to San Francisco, Sierra is celebrating the success of the 49ers by offering the ultimate value on Super Bowl Sunday with $49 tickets. Sierra will recognize guests dressed in 49er jerseys, jackets, and hoodies, by offering them a discounted full-day lift ticket.

Sierra will have contests, games, giveaways, and every television will be tuned to the Super Bowl throughout the day. In the main lodge, the Sierra Pub will offer food and drink specials, including 49-cent fries, chicken wings, tacos, and more.

Contests and games will be held throughout halftime. And no need to worry, Beyoncé’s performance will go uninterrupted.

Mt. Rose: Ski close to Super Bowl game time since the resort is only 22 miles away from Reno, where there are many great places to view Sunday’s game.

Mt. Rose is offering $49 lift tickets, and $49 First Timers Packages and $49 Rosebuds children’s lessons (age 4-10) for Super Bowl Sunday. The deals can only be purchased online at www.skirose.com.
