Sickles Market is sizzling with super events next week

On Sunday, March 23 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sickles Market will host a workshop, Vegetable Gardening 101. Learn the basic principles of how to start your own vegetable garden with Sickles’ experts. In this class, you will learn how to pick a location, prepare the soil, choose the right plants and pick the right placement of veggies for your yard. Workshop is $10 per person and will be in Sickles Greenhouse. Advanced registration and payment are required.

Thursday, March 27, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Cheese Night: Spring Cleaning – time to clean out the fridge with all those lingering odds and ends of cheese. And, what about the unique honey or jam that you may have received as a gift? Let Sickles creative cheesemongers show you some professional tips for turning small bites into abundant spreads, with items you might already have at home. Learn the basic rules of pairing cheese with sweet and savory elements to satisfy and surprise your guests.
Cheese Course is $30 per person or $50 for a couple.

Friday, March 28, 7-9 p.m. – Girls Night Out – After what has been a bear of a winter, it’s time to get out with a few of your girl friends for a beautifying night on the town – and all for a great cause. Find a new quick “do” for your hair. Learn about which fresh herbs are the easiest to grow and how to use them when cooking? Take a peek at the latest in spring fashions from custom-made eyeglass frames to jewelry and make-up. Share the evening with a friend while listening to the soothing island sounds of Koka, a Steel Drum Band, sipping premium wines donated by Rumson Wine & Spirits and snacking on delicious foods from Sickles’ kitchen, Vermont Creamery, Booskerdoo and Blue Print Cleanse. Some of the participating services offered are: spring make-ups from The Milagro Spa at The Atlantic Club; Hair tips from Jon Lori Salon; Sea Beach Glass jewelry from Carolyn Roche Designs, and eyewear from Olefson Art Opticals.
