Sick Puppies headline Wooly's tonight

Australian rockers Sick Puppies invade Des Moines tonight when their Connect tour stops at Wooly's. Doors at the East Village venue will open at 7:30 p.m., and the music will kick off at 8 p.m. with opening acts Devour the Day, Fatal Addiction, and Holy White Hounds. Tickets for the show are still available for $22 through the Wooly's box office and Ticketfly. This will be an all ages concert event.

Sick Puppies got their start in Sydney, Australia in 1997. The band has won awards from Yahoo, YouTube, and BMI, as well as an Australian Live Music Award and a Bandit Rock Award. Now operating out of Los Angeles, the trio of Shimon Moore, Emma Anzai, and Mark Goodwin released their fourth full-length studio album, entitled Connect, in July. Connect has gone Top 20 on three different U.S. charts and has produced the hit singles "There's No Going Back" and "Gunfight". Check out the band's 2011 #3 smash "Riptide" in the nearby video box.
