Siblings reunited after 65 years with help of 7-year-old Facebook user

A 7-year-old Facebook user helped siblings reunite after 65 years, according to a Jan. 13 WRIC ABC 8 report. The brother and sister siblings Betty Billadeau and Clifford Boyson had not seen each other since they were put in separate foster homes when she was five and he was three.

Thanks to the help of Eddie Hanzelin, 7, the siblings reunited after 65 long years. According to Clifford Boyson,

"Nobody would help me until I came and met little Eddie."

Isn't it amazing that he had attempted to search for his sister for so many decades, but it took a willing 7-year-old like Eddie Hanzelin for Boyson to reunite with his older sister? It just goes to show you that no matter how young you are, you have the ability to make a difference in the life of somebody.

For his part in reuniting the long-lost siblings, Eddie Hanzelin said,

"Family is important. I went on Facebook and I typed in Boyson. There were a whole bunch of pictures that showed up. One of them kind of looked like Clifford and I zoomed in on it and it started to really look like Clifford, [so] I showed it to my mom and dad."

Hanzelin's parents ended up contacting Billadeau's daughter, and the siblings reunited recently. What an amazingly beautiful story for all these people who are involved. Eddie Hanzelin has just one more wish after helping reunite these siblings after 65 years. He said,

"He's [Clifford Boyson] never been on vacation. And I want him to go on vacation to Disney World with me."

Surely there is somebody somewhere who will send this beautiful little boy, his family, and the reunited siblings to Disney World. If a 7-year-old can use Facebook to reunited siblings after 65 years, then somebody can send the entire group to Disney World.

The grateful siblings gave Eddie a check for $125 for his detective work, so perhaps that can go into the Disney fund. Also, it sounds like this 7-year-old may have a profitable future ahead of him helping reunite families. Of course, he wants to be a veterinarian, but pets also bring people together.
