The Siberian Times reported on January 15, that a Yeti resort in Siberia is to be opened to encourage tourist to find the Abominable Snowman. The new Yeti park is to be constructed at Sheregesh Ski resort which is located in the Shoria Mountain area of Kemrovo region in southern Siberia. Even the region's governor, Aman Tuleyev has pledged that he will pay a $33,000 reward to anyone who can catch the Yeti and prove that it's a real creature.
The Yeti park is going to have a hotel and a themed Children's Playground. They also want to organize a museum which would exhibit all Yeti-related objects. Igor Ildimeshev, is the man behind the developmental idea of the park. He has reported even seeing the creature three times though he believes that the creature is of extraterrestrial origin.
Many people in the area take the Yeti serious, just last year Professor Valentin Sapunov claimed a population of 200 Yeti existed in the Kemerovo, Khakassia, and Altai regions of Siberia. Sapunov, is a doctor of Biological Sciences and Chief Fellow at the Russian State Hydrometeorological University. Also in September alone, three sightings were reported in southern Siberia.
Anyway, Yeti enthusiasts may want to book their next vacation here once the place is ready for visitors!
