"'Love Life' is the brand new album we are working on. I have teamed up with various musicians. The album's release date is sometime in 2014, but other projects in the works will wrap even sooner."
It sounds like this album is a special project for both Astbury and the band.
"I wanted my first album to be with a collaboration of musicians and special features. Hence, the band's name The Collective."
This new album will have been a full years of work, and its genre is a combination of many 'sounds.'
"I began writing the album, ‘Love Life,’ since early 2013. The genre of music is a fusion of Rock/Pop/Blues plus hints of Electronic."
August has seen the beginning of other recordings as well.
"There will also be a video to accompany the first song from the ‘Love Life’ album called ‘Times Change.' We have begun recording the first set of songs‘Times Change’ and ‘The First Time I Met You.’ They have been recorded at Piggyback Studios in Midlands, England."
One of the songs is a duet.
"'The First Time I Met You' is a duet. It is with myself and Christina Simpson. It features Urban Souls' guitarist Faysal Marsaoui who guests on lead guitar and bass for that song, as well as for 'Times Change.'"
There is a music video in the works as well.
"A video will accompany our first release off the album 'Love Life.' Video production is scheduled for both the video and song of 'Times Change.' It's scheduled for Sept. 1."
Si is honored to be working with such talented musicians.
"It’s great to be working with such fantastic and talented people who are really up for producing great music. With The Collective we intend to have a regular core of musicians with special features throughout our projects and performances. This gives the opportunity for other talents to collaborate, thus different styles of music will be produced."
According to Si Astbury, he and the band hopes that everyone will be looking forward to the release of "Times Change."
Musicians are not the only ones who are part of the team providing such songs and videos.
These musicians, and their fans, have much to look forward to.
"We look forward to our songs' release times. Both have an entirely different feel which we hope listeners will enjoy!"
