Costa Mesa-based Shuck Oyster Bar, a classic New England oyster house with California twist, delivers a shellfish experience with new menu items featuring oysters as well as crab, shrimp and other seafood items. Among items is a Crab Bisque featuring fresh Dungeness Crab; House-Smoked Salmon with Caper Sauce; a classic Louie with fresh Shrimp and Crab; and a Lobster Roll featuring a full lobster per order. Other additions include a selection of tacos, including Fried Oyster, Bay Shrimp, and Sausage n’ Clam tacos.
“This menu sees the addition of some of my favorite New England classics that are stand-alone options which go beyond accompaniments for our incredible oyster bar offerings,” said Chef Blöm, who owns the restaurant with Partners Marin Howarth and Leonard Chan. “We continue to focus on the freshest, quality seafood – from high-quality oysters, ranging from Tomahawks, Naked Cowboys, Olde Salts and Stingrays, to lobster, shrimp, crab and fish flown in live on a daily basis.”
Chef Blöm’s menu still includes Shuck favorites, including an Oyster Po’ Boy, rustic-crusted Grilled Cheese, rich Seafood Stew, and hearty Clam Chowda’.
Shuck will continue to offer specials on occasion, including its lunchtime favorite Shuck.Slurp.Dip, featuring Oyster, Street Cheese Sandwich, and Tomato Soup; as well as its dinnertime Half & Half, featuring a Half Dozen Oysters with Half Bottle of Bubbles.
