Showers end; Gradual clearing

Weather Forecaster Daniel Johnson

Independence Day ended on a soggy note with 1.03” of rain being reported officially for Indianapolis. Showers are continuing to push off to the east and should become spotty overnight into Sunday morning as lows fall into the lower 60s.

A dry day is on tap for Sunday with early clouds gradually giving way to partly cloudy skies from north to south. Highs should top out in the mid 70s. High pressure will bring sunshine Monday through Thursday with a warming trend and increasing humidity. I cannot rule out a spotty shower or thunderstorm on Tuesday and Wednesday, however most areas look to remain dry.

Daniel’s Indianapolis 5 Day Forecast:

Saturday night: Cloudy with showers gradually tapering off. Low: 61
Sunday: Clouds early with skies gradually becoming partly cloudy. High: 76
Sunday night: Partly cloudy and mild. Low: 62

Wednesday: Partly cloudy with a chance for a spotty shower or storm late. Low: 65 | High: 85
