A deep trough is digging into the central United States bringing a series of systems along its eastern side. Clarksville is currently along this eastern side and more systems are expected to move up this trough. Scattered showers are expected this morning as the first system moves out, but the rain returns for the weekend. This trough will also slowly move east at the same time and the clash of warm moist air with cool air will bring numerous showers and thunderstorms Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures will briefly be warm today and tomorrow as high temperatures are expected to be in the seventies, but they will drop into the forties by the beginning of the upcoming workweek. That is also when Clarksville should see a break from the rain.
