A warm front will lift northward across northern Ohio today. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be likely today as this from moves across the area. It will also be noticeably more humid across the area. It will be partly to mostly cloudy across the area today with highs reaching the mid to upper 70s.
The showers and thunderstorms will continue across the are tonight as deep moisture streams northward across the state. Overnight lows will be around 60 degrees.
Warm and humid air will remain in place across the state Friday and Saturday, but with little to focus thunderstorm activity, only isolated to scattered storms art expected both days. It will remain quite warm and humid with highs on Friday in the upper 70s. Lows Friday night will be in the low to mid 60s. Highs on Saturday will reach the low 80s.
Saturday night and Sunday, low pressure will deepen as it moves from the northern Plains into the Great Lakes. This system will drag a strong cold front eastward across the Ohio Valley and eastern Great Lakes on Sunday.
Showers and thunderstorms will begin to increase Saturday night well ahead of the front. Lows will be in the 60s. However, the best chance of thunderstorm activity will be on Sunday into Sunday night as the front moves through. We will also be monitoring the possibility of a few strong storms as well. Highs on Sunday will reach the mid to upper 70s. Temperatures will fall to the 50s Sunday night after passage of the front.
Much cooler air will spread across the region for the first part of next week with lake effect showers possible.
