A cold front will move eastward across the Ohio Valley and into western parts of Ohio by late this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will overspread the area this afternoon as the front approaches. Rainfall could be heavy at times this afternoon, and a few of the storms could be locally severe with strong winds and hail possible. High temperatures today will reach the low 80s.
The cold front will move slowly eastward across northeastern Ohio tonight. Rain is likely along with a few embedded thunderstorms. The rain could be locally heavy. Lows tonight will fall to around 60 degrees.
The front will move to our east and much cooler air will spread across the region on Monday. Rain with a few embedded thunderstorms will continue through mid morning, then scattered showers will persist through the remainder of the day under mainly cloudy skies. Temperatures will rise very little on Monday with highs only reaching the low 60s.
Monday night, high pressure will gradually begin to build across the area. The cool flow of air over the lake will support clouds and even a few lake effect rain showers. It will be chilly however with low temperatures falling to the upper 30s to mid 40s.
High pressure will finally take control of the weather on Tuesday with mostly sunny skies expected. Highs on Tuesday will be around 60 degrees.
Tuesday night will be clear with lows ranging from the mid 30s to mid 40s.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 60s.
Sunny and dry weather will continue Thursday and Friday. Highs on Thursday will reach the upper 60s, then climb to around 70 on Friday.
