Showdown shows how Honolulu looks to its emerging filmmakers

Showdown in Chinatown September 19th

Showdown in Chinatown calls itself the only underground short film challenge, but when your winners are showcasing at Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF,) you aren't so much underground as you are just plain cool.

Local filmmakers were challenged to submit a 7 minute (or less) addressing the question "how do you see Honolulu?". 12 selected films by our local talent will surely provide us refreshing, unique and entertaining answers to that question. 

Its a contest with a cash prize and the winner will be able to show at HIFF in October.

I can't wait to see their Honolulu!
