Bob Weir & RatDog will perform live in concert at The Greek Theatre on Wednesday, July 2nd. Special Guests will be The Chris Robinson Brotherhood. The show will start at 6:30 and ticket prices start at $ 39.75.

Weir has a touring history of over 50 year making him one of the most traveled road musicians of all time. He is best known as one of the founding members of the Grateful Dead. He will be performing Grateful Deads songs "Truckin'," "Sugar Magnolia," and "Cassidy" along with his own songs that he has recorded with RatDog.

The group began as a side project for Weir and bassist Rob Wasserman. After the Grateful Dead disbanded in December 1995, following the death of Jerry Garcia that same year, RatDog became Weir's primary band.

RatDog has undergone many changes, both in personnel and musical. The band has evolved from a blues revue into a musical fusion of backgrounds and talents. The members are no longer a supporting cast for front man Weir but a full powerhouse band. The group now includes original members Weir and Lane (percussion, vocals) and Rob Wasserman (bass), in addition to Jeff Chimenti (keyboards, vocals), Steve Kimock (guitars) and Robin Sylvester (bass, vocals).

According to Weir, "If you like what you hear, do come again." Come again is what the fans do and this apperance at The Greek is expected to do just that so pick up your tickets and do not miss this show.

The support band on the bill will be The Chris Robinson Brotherhood. They are a blues rock band formed by Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson while The Black Crowes are on indefinite hiatus. According to Robinson, the band started off as an experienment during their California residency. They have released three albums: "Big Moon Ritual", "The Magic Door" and the current release is "Phospheresent Harvest" which was released in April.

The band includes Robinson (Lead vocals, guitar), Neal Casal (guitar, vocals), Adam Macdougall (keys, vocals), George Sluppick (drums), and Mark Dutton (bass, vocals).

Weir, in the past has sat in with the band during the Chris Robinson Band's run at the Great American Music Hall in 2011.
