The product was created by twenty-one year-old Harvard undergraduate Ben Yu under the guidance of his dad, who is a PhD in chemistry – and holds several patents focused on how substances can be better absorbed through the skin.
According to Yu, Sprayable Energy “energizes you through your skin” to provide “long-lasting energy without the jitters or crash.”
The company’s website explains that you spray the product on your skin – in the same places you would a fragrance (like your neck). They recommend spraying 4 sprays per use (which will give you about the same energy as a cup of coffee). The product is odorless and colorless.
They also recommend not using the spray with multiple high-caffeine energy drinks, but claim that having soft drinks, coffee or tea in moderation with the product isn’t dangerous.
