On St. Patrick’s Day people are always looking for new and different ways to partake in the wearing of the green. Last year we reported on the availability of green pubic hair dye, you know, in case green beer just isn’t enough.
However, let’s be honest with each other, dyeing your pubic hair is so 2009. The latest trend in decking out your vagina is to bedazzle it. Yes, you read that right, wax off the pubic hair (typically Brazilian style) and then replace it with Swarovski crystals. Jennifer Love Hewitt spouted off about the glory of her disco ball vajayjay on the Lopez Tonight! (see video). Actually, she refers to her vulva as her “precious lady.”
So the possibility of sporting a shiny shamrock instead of pubic hair really does exist! Technically the jewels go on the vulva, not the vagina, but vulva just doesn’t scream headlines like vagina does.
Is bedazzling your vagina safe? Suffice it to say there are no medical studies available. However, the genital skin is among the most sensitive in the body. Skin adhesives typically contain alcohol, ether, latex, or formalin, all of which can cause irritant or allergic reactions, especially if applied to freshly waxed skin!
While you could get vajazzled for St. Patrick’s Day, it is not something a gynecologist would ever recommend. A safer (and probably far sexier) way to festively deck your nether regions is to get some fantastically sexy green lingerie with Irish lace from My Boudoir on Union Street or any one of the other beautiful lingerie shops in town.
What do you think? Should a vajayjay shine like a disco ball?

Hilarious!
One of the skin adhesives used is "spirit gum". It's a common theater and Hollywood goop. There's a writeup on vajazzleville.com
As long as you wash it off safely you're fine. There'll always be someone allergic to practically any given substance, so try everything out carefully before using it.
