Should women fear Charlie Sheen now?

Despite Charlie Sheen's purposefully vain and light-hearted womanizing ways while in character on "Two and a Half Men", the real Charlie Sheen has been a potential physical danger to ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller as well as other women in his past for quite some time, according to court documents and the New York Times.

And now, in light of Charlie's recent own broadcastings, that danger may be escalating for women and children, with the alleged threat to remove Brooke Mueller's head (by cutting it off) and shipping it to her mother in a box, according to TMZ.

But Charlie is denying he ever said that per his Today Show interview, and OK! Magazine reported that Charlie's opinion of Brooke is "That woman only lies when she speaks."

Those are strong words against the woman who bore Charlie two sons and who in Christmas of 2009 feared for her life at the hands of her husband.

During the Christmas holidays that year Charlie and Brooke's heated marital state escalated to the point that he would hold a knife to her throat, prompting her to call 911.

Charlie was arrested in Aspen that year for doing so and would later plead guilty and be placed on probation for the crime, so he can't exactly deny that evidence now. But that domestic violence incident is just one of several situations with women that show Charlie's current behavior should be a concern to women and children.

Ex-wife Denise Richards a victim too

Denise Richards accused Charlie in 2006 of attempting to harm her as well. According to the New York Times, Denise Richards sought a restraining order against Charlie during their marriage in '06 when she says he threatened to kill her after giving her a shove.

The New York Times also reported that in 1990, while engaged to Kelly Preston, Charlie accidentally shot her in the arm. Charlie and Kelly's engagement didn't lead to a wedding after that. And just four short years later, in 1994, he would be accused of hitting a college student in the head when she wouldn't have sex with him, allegedly. That incident led to an out-of-court settlement, according to the Times.

Capri Anderson incident

Fast forward to 2010 and the Plaza Hotel incident with Capri Anderson and Charlie Sheen in New York and you see more of the same alleged violence against women. That time it included the hurling of furniture at a sex film actress who fled Sheen and dashed for a bathroom in his suite, so she could put a locked door between them.

In 1996 another sex film actress named Brittany Ashland says Charlie Sheen threw her to the floor in his LA home during an argument. According to the New York Times, Charlie pleaded "No contest" to that accusation and paid the fine from it, so Charlie can't now claim that was a lie.

Sheen's Korner

Charlie Sheen's current ramblings on his own twitter account and personal web broadcasts (known as Sheen's Korner, with 2 episodes currently) are perhaps an even better indicator of his potential for harm than the historical data that litters his private life.

In Episode 2 of Charlie's Ustream TV all you see is a frustrated man with a big ego who can't communicate unless he uses profanity, which could be mistaken for a bad "Two and a Half Man" episode.

But it is Episode 3 that shows a more disturbing Charlie Sheen, and one who Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards obviously fear to be around or to let their children be near right now. And with good cause. To view it for yourself, click on the video link to the left of this article.
