It has been reported that McFadden has been practicing and will likely play this Sunday. Coach Dennis Allen has verified that the player will get some snaps.
The only reason why McFadden should play on Sunday is to make him earn the $60 million the Raiders spent on him. Also, to perhaps save Rashad Jennings from injury and have him ready for next year.
At the same time, it would be nice to see Jennings explode against an AFC West rival like the San Diego Chargers, and have McFadden watch from the side lines what he should have been doing for the amount of money being paid to him.
It is only obvious that Mr. Glass or Darren McFadden will be taking a hike from Oakland once the season is over. At least, it would be the smart thing for the Raiders to let McFadden walk away. So, why have him represent Oakland in the last two weeks.
If anything, McFadden should be the third stringer. Yes, Marcel Reece should get more snaps or playing time than McFadden for the last 2 weeks of this NFL season.
Anyway, everyone knows that Darren McFadden’s heart is with the Raiders, but his body is too fragile and too expensive to be in a Silver and Black uniform.
So, for the sake of the Raiders, McFadden should sit or finish the season as a backup to Rashad Jennings for the last 2 weeks.
