Ralph Wald, 69, from Brandon, Fla. caught his 41-year-old wife in the act of having sex with another man on the night of March 10; and that’s when Wald shot and killed the man, according to ABC News.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) shared that Wald called 911 immediately after the shooting to inform authorities that “he shot a man he saw ‘fornicating’ with his wife in his Brandon home.”
The sheriff’s office went to report that Wald was home asleep Sunday night. He woke up around midnight and went to the kitchen for a drink - which is when he saw his wife having sex with her now deceased lover, 32-year-old Walter Lee Copley.
Wald walked back to his bedroom, got his gun, and shot his victim several times.
Afterwards, Wald called 911 to report shooting the man fornicating with his wife.
Authorities arrested Wald without incident.
Although Walter Lee Copley died at the scene, Wald’s wife was not injured.
Ralph Wald was charged with second-degree murder with a firearm.
