Several pet celebrities are scheduled to appear at the Dallas Pet Expo this year. The free event takes place on Saturday, May 10, at Dallas Market Hall and will introduce pet lovers to all the pet resources that the Dallas community has to offer.
The star-studded lineup includes Shorty Rossi of "Pit Boss," dog trainer Harrison Forbes of "Good Morning America" and "The Today Show," and Deidre Franklin (Pinups for Pitbulls).
“Animal cruelty is often worsened by a lack of education about pet ownership. Not to mention that most people have no idea how cruelty towards Pitbulls is promoted in their communities due to unfair laws or breed discrimination. It has to end and pet lovers are the only ones who can end it. It’s time to say ‘Enough,’” says Rossi.
Rossi is an advocate for Pit Bulls and anti-pet cruelty. He has dedicated his life to the breed he says saved his life and serve as his assistance dogs.
Harrison Forbes has appeared on major television morning news networks to offer training advice and help place homeless pets into new homes.
Deidre Franklin is famous in the world of pinup models and often poses with dogs she feels need a voice. She will be speaking about how others can take a stand and make a change. She started the organization Pinups for Pitbulls and has become a celebrity in her own niche.
Guests can bring their pets to learn, shop, play and adopt with 150+ exhibitors, lure coursing, nose work & obedience demos, costume & pet talent contests, and more than 250 rescue pets available in the Petfinder.com adoption area.
Come with an open mind and heart, and leave with valuable information and possible a new best friend.
