Shorts' talented cast

Shorts is an upcoming 2009 family comedy/adventure film directed and written by Robert Rodriguez with a release date of  August 21st, 2009.

The film's synopsis is that chaos hits a uniformly "perfect" family neighborhood when an 11-year-old boy finds a rainbow-colored rock that grants wishes to anyone who holds it.

A run down of a few of the lead actors in Shorts - One of the cast is James Spader.  Before becoming a full-time actor, Spader held a variety of jobs including being a yoga instructor, busboy, truck driver, stable boy, and railroad-car loader.

William H. Macy is another actor who has been in many films and also has had a number of roles on television, the most recent being a guest appearance on The Unit as the President of the United States. In 2003, he won two Emmy Awards, one for starring in the lead role and one as co-writer of the made-for-TNT film Door to Door.

Leslie Mann is married to writer-director Judd Apatow.  She began her career at the age of 17, with appearances in television commercials. In 1995, Mann was chosen from an open audition of 500 candidates for her first big movie role in The Cable Guy (1996). Since then, she has appeared in films such as She's the One, George of the Jungle, Big Daddy, Stealing Harvard, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up...

Jon Cryer is an American actor, screenwriter and film producer. Even though Cryer gained some fame by starring in popular movies, he had not yet ound television success until Two and a Half Men opposite Charlie Sheen.

Jimmy Bennett, the young lead in Shorts, is a child actor who is perhaps best known for his roles in the films Star Trek, Daddy Day Care, Hostage, Firewall, Poseidon, Evan Almighty, Orphan, and Shorts.

Kat Dennings is actress who emerged with a role in an episode of the television series Sex and the City, she has been in the films The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Big Momma's House 2 (2006), Charlie Bartlett, The House Bunny and Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist (2008).
