Short film 'Slanted' to screen at Balboa Theater in San Francisco

The short film "Slanted" directed by Joseph Matarrese and Phillip Matarrese will screen at the Balboa Theater in San Francisco during showings of the feature documentary "Let Fury Have The Hour" from Jan. 18-24.

"Slanted" is an amusing story about "a man who realizes the world he lives in is slanted and his struggle to correct it."

The film stars Matthew Elium and George Q. Nguyen. It was produced by Distant Thunder Films and the Matarrese brothers and was shot entirely in San Francisco on 16mm film.

"Let Fury the Hour" is directed by acclaimed author, visual artist, and filmmaker Antonino D'Ambrosio.

The documentary is an exuberant, mixed media collage that incorporates graphic art, music, animation, and spoken word encapsulating three decades of pop cultural change.
