On March 15, 2014, Brighton Bar in Long Branch, New Jersey will be hosting Shore Metal Madness Fest II. Doors open at 3:00 p.m and so far the lineup includes ten bands from New Jersey, Connecticut, and New York.

The lineup will officially begin at 4:00 p.m with Mass Punishment. According to the band's Facebook page, Chris Spartan, the lead singer, created Mass Punishment after being honorably discharged from the U.S military after serving in Iraq. Their lyrics deal with war, politics, social, and other economic issues. They set the stage for the rest of the show, which will be full of adrenaline fueled, aggressive lyrics from the other bands. The rest of the concert includes Apostasy, Gyre, Eye of Anubis, Stagger, Scars of Envy, Cyperna, Darkness Descends, Ashes of Your Enemy, and ends with Negative Sky.

Driving would be a more convenient way to commute, at least from New York City, because it is roughly an hour and a half commute from Penn Station to the Long Branch New Jersey transit station by train. Then it is a nineteen minute walk to Brighton Bar according to Google maps anyways. But for a metal fan who wants to see great local bands in action, it will be a trip well worth it.
