Today is Rosh Chodesh Nissan, which mean that we are down to under 14 shopping days for Passover. Where to begin? In truth, you can find just about anything you need at the larger kosher stores. But if you want to maximize your spending dollars you may want to take the time for more than one stop shopping.
For example, Stop and Shop circulars contain coupons for 5 lb. boxes of matzah. The choices are free for Yehudah brand and $2.99 for Streit's brand with a $25 purchase. Trust me, it is all too easy to hit $25 in purchases when grocery shopping for the holiday. You can spend close to that on drinks alone. Stop and Shop has the best price for the large plastic bottles of Kedem grape juice - just $2.99. This week it also has Coke 2 liter bottles, which include the certified kosher for Passover ones with the yellow caps on sale for 4 for $4.
Another item you may want to pick up there is the Stop and Shop brand cranberry sauce. Be sure to have the one certified kosher for Passover. It's on sale for $1. Elite chocolate bars, which are available in both dairy and pareve varieties are also on sale for $1 a bar.
