Christmas is less than a week from now, and some of you are still pondering on what gift to give your family and friends. And if you're shopping for a fragrance, the gift can be a little trickier. Know someone who is a diehard fan of Rihanna but you think Nude smells horrible? Are you considering purchasing Diesel but wondering where in the world Common went?
Save yourself the headache. Buy a fragrance for a recipient (or yourself) because you enjoy the scent, not because of the person attached to the perfume or cologne. It's your body that has to walk around with it on, not those guys.
Everyone has their own favorite fragrance. The best way to get familiar with the gift recipient's favorite scents is check out the pattern of other perfumes and colognes this person wears. What's her signature scent? What are the popular top, middle and bass notes?
You may be better off just looking for a non-celebrity fragrance that fits that pattern. Into fruity or tropical fragrances? Kohl's sells Scentsations by BodySource body mists and shower gels with various options, including a magnificent coconut aroma.
Other stores, such as Victoria's Secret, may be more well known for lingerie but also have store fragrances.
But if you're really persistent about buying a celebrity fragrance, maybe the best idea would be to get a combo gift set, such as the Celebrity Fragrance box with Justin Bieber's Someday, Britney Spears' Fantasy, Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck or Jennifer Aniston's Lovalie.
This way if one celebrity fragrance doesn't do the trick maybe the other three will be more likeable.
