Shopping for the person who has everything? Want to stand out with something odd at an office gift exchange? Every 2nd Sunday of the month at the Rose Bowl, artisans and vendors line the exterior of the stadium with furniture, clothing, crafts, specialty foods, antiques and botany. The center holds live music and breakfast including a Champagne Brunch, and the stadium is open to explore. The event starts as early as 6am for thrift enthusiasts with a fee to fit, and then every hour on the hour with correlating decreasing price. The time it takes to see everything depends on what you like, and how thorough you want to be, but it could easily be an all day affair. Parking is free, and better the earlier you arrive. Bring cash unless you want to be victim to a $5.00 ATM charge.
And don't worry, if you missed this month's there are many places to find one-of-a-kinds: Melrose Trading Post and Long Beach Antique Market are just some of the others that are open more than once a month.
