With this October recognized as the 25th annual National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, shoppers across the country can do their part to help fund research and increase education about this important cause by simply shopping! Many national retailers are offering special promotions, great deals and limited edition merchandise, so it’s easy to “think pink” this month. At FlatIron Crossing and Twenty Ninth Street malls, find gifts or a stylish special treat to support breast cancer research and awareness.

Accessories are the perfect choice and with all the options available, there’s something pink and pretty for everyone. For each friendship bracelet purchased, Chico’s will donate $10 to non-profit Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Buy a Sparkling Pink Watch at Guess or a pink ribbon bracelet at Coldwater Creek and a donation will be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Swarovski has created its beautiful Breast Cancer Awareness collection, with 10% of all proceeds going to support the Libby Ross Foundation. Or buy the LOFT Cares Bracelet and a $5 donation will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

For the active and stylish gal, stay healthy and workout for the cure with pink athletic wear. Dick’s Sporting Goods carries pink Rebook athletic gear and a special pink workout collection is available at Helly Hansen. Lucy’s Pink Race Tee is another fun and sporty alternative for any type of exercise.
