Cincinnatians frequently find ways to celebrate the city's German Heritage. From various Oktoberfest celebrations to the Christmas holidays, the city is rife with German themed activities. For the second year, Cincideutsch, a group of German speaking Cincinnati residents, will be hosting the Cincideutsch Christkindlmarkt 2013.
The Cincideutsch Christkindlmarkt is a multi-weekend and multi-location holiday shopping experience. The opening weekend of this German-themed holiday market will be during Macy's Light up the Square event starting Friday, November 29 and running through Sunday, November 30. The Light Up the Square event is a festive occasion surrounding the lighting of the official holiday tree on Fountain Square in Downtown Cincinnati.
The Cincideutsch Christkindlmarkt 2013 will be held on Fountain Square Friday, November 29 - Saturday, November 30 from 11am to 9pm and Sunday, December 1 from 11am to 5pm. Opening ceremonies will be held on Saturday.
The market will operate at Findlay Market on the following two consecutive weekends. Friday, December 6 - Sunday, December 8 and Friday, December 13 - Sunday, December 15. Friday hours both weekends are from 9am to 6 pm. Saturday hours for both weekends are 8am to 6pm. Both Sundays at Findlay Market the Christkindlmarkt will be open from 10am until 4pm.
