This holiday season, when shoppers buy local, they will not only find one-of-kind gifts they will support Chicago's very own artists and designers. Two local designers, Jewelry Designer Maureen Fagan of Simple Treasure and Handbag Designer Brynn Capella of Brynn Capella, Inc want shoppers to support local designers.
“As the economy recovers, shoppers are more and more aware of where their money is going. There is something empowering about buying gifts that are made not only in the USA, but right here in Chicago," explained Fagan.
Fagan and Capella want Chicagoans to shop local. The designers hand-picked their favs. From hats to handmade jewelry, here are some gift ideas that will top every woman's holiday gift list:

Many of these designers will exhibit their work at One of a Kind Show and Sale from December 3 - 6, 2009 at the Merchandise Mart.
