Shop for a new look with your spare change on Monday January 25th

What can you buy for 50 cents in 2010? Even my local newspaper, The Canton Repository, is more than that! Half a dollar doesn't get you coffee at McDonald's - in fact, if you are lucky you may be able to find a Snickers on sale for that amount. But tomorrow, Monday January 25th, you can shop for a new-to-you sweater, skirt, pair of jeans, coat, and even a purse and spend just two quarters!

The Village Discount Outlet  offers a great deal on Mondays. Let me explain how it works - this chain of thrift shops color codes their merchandise with different color tags, and each day two colors are on sale for 50% off the regular price. On Monday, one color is just 50 cents per item. With two locations in my area (Akron and Cuyahoga Falls) as well as one in Youngstown, there are plenty of great deals for all ages and sizes. Half the fun is in the search - you never know what you might find! For those in the know, thrift shops offer a multitude of ways to stretch your clothing budget. If you haven't tried it yet, tomorrow is the perfect day to start!
