The University of Oklahoma reported a shooting on campus this morning. Students were warned to avoid Gould Hall and to seek immediate shelter. Normal operations, according to the University’s Twitter feed, have resumed with the exception of Gould Hall at this time.

University police, Norman Police Department and emergency personnel are on scene. The shooting occurred while classes were in session at about 11:20 a.m. local time (12:20 p.m. ET). Students and faculty were alerted by text. Updates are tweeted at @UofOklahoma.

An announcement on the school’s Facebook page states that there were no injuries reported at this time. Comments on the page from students and parents indicate different though. The incident is still under investigation.

UPDATE:

Classes were able to resume at Gould Hall and throughout the campus, although there is no evidence of shots actually being fired.
