A manager of Logan's Roadhouse Restaurant in Wichita Falls, Tex. had gotten in his car to drive home after getting off work when he was shot in the eye and face by two robbers who then fled. One of the men who shot him with a BB gun pled guilty in 30th District Court at the Wichita County Courthouse, Friday, Dec. 13 and was sentenced to 18 years in the Texas penitentiary system, according to an article in the Dec. 14 edition of the Wichita Falls Times Record News newspaper.
Daniel Blake Selvidge, 25, pled guilty to four counts of aggravated robbery Friday before he was sentenced to a place where he won't be able to shoot others. He received credit for 491 days in the county jail.
The victim was found by police at Logan's Roadhouse on July 3, 2012, by Wichita Falls Police Department officers. He was bleeding from his left eye and head when officers responded to the call.
The victim was taken to United Regional Hospital's Emergency Room where he was treated for mutiple BB wounds in his head including one BB in his eye. The injuries were serious enough to warrant the victim being flown to a hospital for treatment.
Selvidge had a busy day on July 3, 2012, as he also pled guilty to being involved in a robbery at Sikes Senter Mall involving three women. These three victims said a man pointed a gun at them and demanded their purses.
Selvidge's sentences will run concurrently.
The officers who apprehended Selvidge and a co-defendant were supervised by Wichita Falls Police Chief Manuel Borrego.
