In a genuine suprise, Santino Marella will replace Randy Orton this Sunday in the Elimination Chamber match on Pay Per View for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Orton suffered a concussion at the hands of the current World Champion Daniel Bryan who smashed the Viper in the head with his title belt on RAW this week. Due to this injury, Orton could not be medically cleared to compete this Sunday. It is uncertain if Orton's injury is legitmate or simply a part of WWE's storyline for this Sunday's Pay Per View.
Marella won the convetted Chamber spot in a Battle Royal match at last night's Smackdown tapings. The Itallion Stallion will have tough competiton in the brutal Chamber match with the Great Khali, The Big Show, Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes, and Wade Barrett also challenging Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship. No matter what happens, Marella will add a flair of comedy to an otherwise violent match that will determine who is the World Champion going to Wrestlemania. WWE has already turned some heads with the move which caught many fans off guard with many fans expected the suspended Marc Henry to return and take the empty spot in the Chamber.
