For the Fall 2013, Band of Women's collection, the inspiration was 1940’s meets Atari. Trends highlighted within the show included 40s inspired dress silhouettes, wool flannel capes, worsted wool pantsuits and a boiled wool topcoat with patchwork fox fur collars, and tall knit hats. To top the look off, Shiseido Artistic Director, Dick Page created a look to play off the natural shadows emphasized by the collection’s low-brimmed hats. Dick created a contrast of pure skin, light and clean red lips.
The Look
EYES: Dick created “racoony” eyes, applying a combination of Shimmering Cream Eye Shadow in Sable (BR709) and concealer into and around the eye area. The shadow as achieved by getting close into the upper and lower lash line, blending over the bridge of the nose and under the eye area with the bottom edge very diffused.
FACE: A “faux shadow” extended beyond the eyes to the forehead, eye and upper cheek area. Using a sponge to soften, Dick “painted” the cream shadow and concealer mix into the brows, along the cheekbone and into the hairline.
LIPS: NEW Perfect Rouge in Showgirl (RD553) was applied using a fluff brush for a defined red lip that was not crisp or sharp, creating the look’s sole pop of color.
