78-year-old actress Shirley Maclaine has emerged as a controversial figure in her daughter's shocking memoir, "Lucky Me: My Life With - And Without - My Mom,"
which was released this weekend. Today Feb. 3, 2013, New Kerala.com has reported,
Shirley Maclaine waited outside bedroom with sex gurus as daughter lost virginity.
Sachi Parker, who is Shirley Maclaine's daughter, has showed another side of her mother in her new tell-all book.
Parker has revealed that her mother took little interest in her life until she was 17-years- old. Then one day she and her boyfriend, Brad, were invited to the Maclaine's beautiful California beachfront flat where Parker claims that she met her mother's sex therapist friends, Phyllis and Eberhard Kronhausen. At that time Phyllis told Maclaine that it would be a great opportunity for Parker to have her first introduction to sex with all three present to serve as a support group so they could talk about it later and validate her feelings.
Sharon Churcher has also reported on this story for the Daily Mail, My mum was waiting with sex gurus as I lost my virginity: Shirley Maclaine's girl reveals another side of the actress in new book. Parker relates in her explosive new book how during a bizarre episode in the 1970s, her mother was clearly excited about helping her lose her virginity. Parker flushed with embarrassment when her mother commented in regard to a suggestion from a sex therapist that she lose her virginity at her California beachfront flat, "I think it’s a wonderful idea. We’re all here to help you, sweetheart." Parker wrote she, "felt like Mia Farrow surrounded by the satanists in Rosemary’s Baby" as she left for the bedroom with her boyfriend. Parker sure has an interesting story to share.
Addendum: On Feb. 5, 2013 I received an e-mail with a statement from Shirley MacLaine as follows:
Statement from Shirley MacLaine:
"It's a painful moment for me as a mother and as someone who values the truth. I'm shocked and heartbroken that my daughter would make statements about me that are virtually all fiction. I've praised her lovingly and truthfully in my own autobiographies. I’m sorry to see such a dishonest, opportunistic effort from my daughter for whom I’ve only ever wanted the best."
