Shipping Wars star dies from massive heart attack

Shipping Wars star Roy Garber has died from a massive heart attack according to news reports hitting the internet early Sunday morning (Jan. 19).

Garber, 49, had a massive heart attack on Friday night, January 17, 2014 and passed away shortly after the attack. It was reported that Garber had a known heart condition.

Garber owned and operated Arbie's Team Transport out of New Hampshire and traveled the United States hauling unusual items that normal carriers refuse to take due to liabilities. Garber's traveling companion, Muffy, who was Garber's pet cat traveled with him on the reality show.

Garber was a favorite driver on the show and was also known as "Silver Jesus." He was a person who was interested in meeting new people and was often recognized at rest areas and other places he stopped at during his travels. Garber was always willing to give autographs when asked.

Garber leaves behind a teenage son, Travis, who he raised alone, a long-time time girlfriend and his beloved cat, Muffy.

Shipping Wars airs on the A&E network and just wrapped up Season 5.
