Shipley Do-Nuts is celebrating National Donut Day on Friday, June 6th. This event follows "Donut Day", created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the men and women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.

This year Shipley Do-Nuts will partner with The Salvation Army and will donate a portion of National Donut Day sales back to the organization. Participating locations will also offer a free glazed donut and small coffee from 5am-12pm (no purchase required) to celebrate the special occasion.

In addition to the National Donut Day event, participating locations will also feature a "Dozen Days of Do-Nuts" promotion for the month of June. The promotion will offer customers one free glazed donut with any purchase every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in June from 5am-12pm.

"We are very excited to be partnering with The Salvation Army for National Donut Day this year," says company owner, Mr. Lawrence Shipley, III. "This is a fun promotion that allows us to support a great organization as well as reward our everyday customers."
