Writer-director Timothy Tau's upcoming feature film project "Shinobi" with actor Peter Shinkoda (Dai on TNT's "Falling Skies") and Koji Steven Sakai ("Chink: The Movie" and "The People I've Slept With") was selected as one of 10 semi-finalists for CAAM's Ready Set Pitch! contest, which takes place during CAAMFest March 14-24.
Tau's short film "Keye Luke" based on the life of legendary Asian American actor and artist Keye Luke screened closing night at this year's Seattle Asian American Film Festival last month.
It was also screened at the 2012 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival as part of Visual Communications "Armed With A Camera" Fellowship program.

All semi-finalists video pitches for the Ready, Set, Pitch contest will be voted on by CAAM supporters who will help narrow down the competitors to three or five finalists that will be selected to present live at this year's CAAMFest in San Francisco.
Finalists will have the opportunity to win a $5,000 CAAM award for research and development.
In addition, this year CAAM will also be offering an additional fund (TBA) to the pitch project that either reaches it’s crowd-funding goal fastest or is able to fully raise the entire amount (whichever is appropriate for the situation).
Voting ends on Friday, Feb. 15.
