Shiloh Baptist Church will present 'An Evening with Maurette Brown Clark'

Shiloh Baptist Church in Alexandria, Va. will host their 150th Anniversary Gospel Concert, “An Evening with Maurette Brown Clark” on Saturday, March 16. A Stellar Award-winning artist, Maurette Brown Clark has been crowned “The Princess of Praise & Worship,” and is a DMV area favorite. A superb singer, songwriter, musician and producer, wife and mother, the petite powerhouse boasts vocal prowess that has made her a favorite among lovers of great gospel music. Her powerful melodies and inspired tunes make her one of gospel’s most captivating artists.

A long-time Baltimore resident, she has amassed an impressive career spanning over 20 years in the gospel music industry. Her repertoire includes uplifting hits “Just Wanna Praise You,” “One God”, smash hit “It Ain’t Over (Until God Says it’s Over)” and her latest single “I Hear The Sound (of Victory)” She was also a featured singer with Richard Smallwood and Vision on “Calvary” and “Angels”. Also slated to perform is D.C.’s own native son Gerald Scott & Co. Scott is a gifted singer, songwriter, musician and producer has performed and played with the giants of the gospel industry including; Daryl Coley, Kim Burrell, Vickie Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams and Isaiah Thomas. He has also accompanied numerous mainstream recording artists including the legendary, Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, Stephanie Mills, and others while maintaining his gospel roots.

The show will be hosted by radio personality Jacquie Gales Webb, the award-winning producer, performer and host of the number one Sunday Afternoon Gospel music program on 96.3 WHUR. She is also the host of the Gospel World program on HUR Voices, Channel 141 on the XM/Sirius Satellite Radio Network.

The stellar evening promises to be filled with mighty music and contemporary praise and worship while commemorating a milestone in the life of this Alexandria landmark that has been worshiping and serving the greater DMV area for 150 years.
